Agenda

1. Portfolio Night Plans-  Tentative date: May 18 at 6 pm in the Library  Create committees and start planning the event. (Suggested committees- publicity/invitation, documentary, decorations, refreshments, portfolios, class book, poetry, drama, novels, literary criticism)  Committee meetings may take place before school in room E7
2. Discuss the layout of the AP exam and go over a practice free response question about prose fiction (with student examples) in groups.
   

Exam Format
Section I: Multiple Choice — 55 Questions | 1 Hour | 45% of Exam Score

1. Includes excerpts from drama, verse, or prose fiction
2. Each excerpt is accompanied by several multiple-choice questions

​Section II: Free Response — 3 Free-Response Questions | 2 Hours | 55% of Exam Score

1. Students write essays that respond to three free-response prompts from the following categories:
   • A literary analysis of a given poem
   • A literary analysis of a given passage of prose fiction (this may include drama)
   • An analysis that examines a specific concept, issue, or element in a work of literary merit selected by the student
