Learning Targets

1. I can use footnotes to gather extra information in a text.
2. I can list 3 popular genres from Chaucer's time.
3. I can summarize information about the Canterbury Tales pilgrims and report the information in a graphic organizer.

Agenda

1. Collect Vocabulary note cards 
2. Read and take notes from the textbook pages 90-93.  Make sure to include popular genres (romances, failaux, saints lives, sermons, allegories), heroic couplet, father of English Poetry, Thomas a Becket, Canterbury Cathedral.
3. Read the General Prologue and make a Pilgrim Grid out of folded white paper.  In each section of the grid write the name, physical description, "stuff," and character/personality/skills of each pilgrim.
